Commentary

The Washington Football Team announced in early January 2022 that the team's new name would be unveiled on February 2.

A list of names potentially being considered had already been circulating in the news, and among the fan favorites were "Wolves" and "Red Wolves." However, choosing either of those names would have created challenges from a trademark perspective, so the team announced that those named were out.

Rather than suggest or try to predict the name the team would select, we thought it would be fun to list names they may have rejected. (Alas, there is no factual basis for our selections.) And once we started with this theme, we just couldn't stop.

And so we present the first of four funny top ten lists regarding rejected new names for the Washington Football Team. Enjoy!
