This is the second (and final) funny top ten list in our series of lists comparing the shape-shifting villain from the 1991 movie "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" to special government employee Elon Musk.
Several of the items are jokes about Musk's antics as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), an organization that we thought wielded no power but are quickly learning otherwise (items 9, 8, 7, and 4). Many of the items center around jokes about Terminator 2 movie scenes and themes (items 10, 6, 5, and 2). Item 3 is primarily snark, and item 1 is a reference to Time magazine's newly released cover showing Elon Musk sitting at the Oval Office Resolute Desk. Trump was asked about this during Friday's joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, and he played it off as though he's cool with it. We're frankly surprised the Trump-Musk bromance has lasted as long as it has, given Trump's desire to have the spotlight reserved for himself only.
Once again we can't post photos of T-1000 and Musk wearing sunglasses (even though that would be sooooo cool), since the site doesn't currently generate enough income to be able to purchase images. So, once again we'll have to settle for an AI generated photo.
For fun, we asked ChatGPT to generate an image of a nerdy clean-cut short-haired man without glasses in his 50s wearing a T shirt that says "Hasta la vista, baby." In hindsight, we believe that we may have confused the AI, because ChatGPT seems to automatically put glasses on any subject that you identify as a nerd, even if you specified "without glasses". (Maybe we should have tried "dork" instead of "nerd"?) Either way, we considered it a victory that we were able to remove the beard and long hair from the first image attempt we made.
We note that the famous phrase "Hasta la vista, baby" sounds right when spoken by Arnold Schwarzenegger or by John Connor, but we can't picture either the T-1000 or Elon Musk saying it without seeming awkward, silly, or forced. Ha!
